Harvesting Waterlilies In Bangladesh
An aerial view shows farmers collecting water lilies in Satla Union, Uzirpur Upazila of Barisal city in Bangladesh on September 29, 2024. Water lilies are cultivated in about 10,000 acres of wetlands in this village called Uttar Satla. 80% of the villagers are involved in water lily cultivation and marketing. From this village, water lilies are supplied to different parts of the country. The water lilies grow for four months, starting from August until November, in Barisal, Bangladesh.
