Mother Charged With Criminally Negligent Homicide In Death Of A 4-Year-Old Boy In Harlem, Manhattan, New York
NYPD is present at the crime scene following a mother who is charged in the death of 4-year-old boy Jahmeik Modlin in Harlem, Manhattan, New York, United States, on October 15, 2024. At approximately 7:42 p.m. on October 13, 2024, police respond to a 911 call about an unconscious 4-year-old boy inside 2484 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, Manhattan, New York. Upon arrival, officers observe a 4-year-old boy unconscious and unresponsive inside the building. EMS responds to the location and transports the child to Harlem Hospital, where he is later pronounced dead. Nytavia Ragsdale is taken into custody and charged with criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child. The investigation remains ongoing by police at this time.
