Dance Of The Voladores Of Cuetzalan

The Voladores of Cuetzalan perform a pre-Hispanic ritual ceremony that involves tying their feet with ropes and launching themselves into the void from a trunk with a height of 52 meters, on november 02, 2024, in Cuetzalan, Mexico. The Voladores de Cuetzalan are a group of dancers who perform the dance of the Voladores, a pre-Hispanic dance originating from the Sierra Norte de Puebla. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declares the Voladores of Cuetzalan as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2009.
