Export Of Christmas Items Affected By Russia-Ukraine War In Kashmir
In Srinagar, Kashmir, India, on December 14, 2024, a Kashmiri artisan shows a Christmas bauble at the workshop before sending it to the market ahead of Christmas celebrations. The artisans from Kashmir say that their work of exporting Christmas items is badly affected because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and other ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. The Christmas items are usually made of papier-mache and are sent to local markets and also exported to the U.S., Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, and many other parts of the world.
