Nandani Dulai, a seven-year-old amputee, receives help from her mother inside the Rehabilitation & Research Centre, a unit of Mahavir Seva Sadan, in Arambag on the outskirts of Kolkata, India, on November 7, 2024. From the time a patient arrives and is examined by professionals, it takes less than a day to manufacture a prosthetic limb and hand.
