Jamar Banks, 52, walks out of Canal Street Subway Station Transit District 2 after being charged with allegedly stabbing a 31-year-old man and an off-duty 47-year-old MTA employee in two separate stabbing attacks in Tribeca, Manhattan, New York, United States, on January 5, 2025. Jamar Banks is charged in the first incident where a 31-year-old man is on a northbound 2 train at the 14 Street and 7 Avenue Station when Banks approaches and starts a verbal dispute. Banks displays a knife and stabs the victim in the back. Banks exits the station on foot and flees. The victim is in stable condition. In the second incident, an off-duty 47-year-old MTA employee is on the northbound 5 train platform at the Pelham Parkway Station when Banks approaches and starts a verbal dispute.
