Icelandic Sled Dogs
A group of riders guides a sled dog sled during a tundra crossing in the Husavik region of Iceland on December 30, 2024. Dog sled rides offer a unique way to explore the winter landscapes in the north of the country. Using mainly Siberian Huskies, known for their resistance to cold and ability to travel long distances, tourists experience a ride across the snowy tundra. Guided by local experts, these tours allow participants to interact with the dogs and learn about their training and role in the Icelandic sledding tradition. It is a way to discover Iceland's arctic landscape. (Photo by Jorge Mantilla/NurPhoto)
