Impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol’s Defiance Of An Arrest Warrant Sparks Chaos In South Korea.
The main gate of impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol's residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, is blocked by several buses on January 11, 2025. Previously, pedestrian access to the walkway past the gate is restricted since his impeachment. However, movement in front of the gate has recently become unrestricted, raising public suspicions that the pathway is opened to use citizens as a barrier to obstruct the execution of an arrest warrant. This follows the refusal of police and military forces--apart from the Presidential Security Service--to provide protection for the presidential office. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
