Godafoss Waterfall In Iceland.

With a height of 12 meters and a width of 30 meters, its waters fall with force from the river Skjalfandafljot, forming a natural spectacle. Its name comes from a legend that tells how, after the adoption of Christianity in Iceland in the year 1000, the statues of the ancient Norse gods were thrown into its waters as a sign of abandonment of the old religion.
