Polar Vortex Continues To Bring Freezing Temperatures To Toronto, Canada

A polar vortex descends over much of Canada, bringing arctic air and freezing temperatures across the Greater Toronto Area. Temperatures feel as cold as -28 degrees Celsius with the wind chill. An extreme cold warning remains in effect for Toronto and other parts of the GTA. Environment Canada warns that the cold temperatures can cause a host of cold-related illnesses, including shortness of breath, chest pain, and numbness and color change in fingers and toes.
