Smoke billows from a brick kiln, filling the morning sky in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Doctors warn that the smoke produced by these kilns has harmful effects on human health. In the Kathmandu Valley, over 100 brick kilns are operational, with more than 60 located in Bhaktapur alone.
