Washington DC Plane Crash
A nearly empty Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., United States, on January 30, 2025, as most flights remain canceled following a tragic midair collision. On the evening of January 29, an American Airlines jet, carrying 64 passengers, plunges into the Potomac River after colliding with an Army helicopter. Recovery teams have so far recovered over two dozen bodies from the frigid waters, with efforts ongoing to find more victims. The disaster casts a shadow over the nation's capital as authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision. (Photo by Probal Rashid/NurPhoto)
