Deported Mexican Migrants Arrive At Help Centers
The Flamingo Plaza's Attention Center for Mexican Repatriates is where the government of Mexico's ''Mexico Embraces You'' program is set up to help deported Mexican migrants in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, on January 31, 2025. The Mexican government sets up shelters for expelled migrants in border cities, and according to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico has already received more than 4,000 people--mostly Mexicans--deported from the U.S. since Trump's January 20 inauguration. She pledges to give each deported Mexican migrant about $100 so they can make their way home. (Photo by Carlos Moreno/NurPhoto)
