Devotees gather to offer prayers to the Hindu Goddess of Education, Saraswati, who is worshipped by students of all levels seeking education and knowledge. The celebration takes place annually on Shukla Panchami of the Nepali month, marking the beginning of the spring season. It is believed that students who worship Saraswati achieve success in their studies. On this day, many parents take their children to nearby Saraswati Temples to introduce them to alphabets.
