80th Anniversary Of Nazi Concentration Camp's Liberation
The Auschwitz I camp marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Oswiecim, Poland, on January 27, 2025. Auschwitz is a German Nazi concentration and extermination camp and remains the most recognizable symbol of the Holocaust. Jews from across Europe, along with Poles, Roma, Sinti, and Soviet prisoners of war, are murdered there. On January 27, 1945, the Red Army enters the camp, liberating its prisoners.
