Temple University police and Philadelphia police maintain a presence following a fatal shooting near Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 7, 2025. On February 6, 2025, at 11:00 p.m., officers respond to the 1500 block of North Carlisle Street. Upon arrival, they discover the victim, 20-year-old Temple University student Chase Myles from Bowie, Maryland, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police transport him to Temple Hospital, where he succumbs to his injuries and is pronounced dead. The shooter, a Temple University student identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Iaderosa from the 1400 block of North Carlisle Street, is arrested and charged with murder and related offenses.
