Protest In Dhaka.
The families of those injured and martyred in the 24th mass uprising hold a sit-in program by blocking roads in the Shahbagh area to correct the category discrimination of those injured in the mass uprising and to demand the rights of the martyred families in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on February 17, 2025. A Fact-Finding Report by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) reveals that around 1,400 people are killed during the July 2024 uprising in Bangladesh. Most of them are shot with military rifles and shotguns loaded with lethal metal pellets, commonly used by the country's security forces. (Photo by MD Abu Sufian Jewel/NurPhoto)
