NYPD detectives are at a halfway house, Safe Haven 1 at 345 E. 146th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of Bronx, New York, where a 59-year-old man is pronounced dead after suffering trauma to his head and face in Mott Haven, Bronx, New York, United States, on March 5, 2025. On Wednesday morning at approximately 12:01 AM, police are informed that EMS responds to a 911 call of an unconscious and unresponsive 59-year-old man inside the halfway house. EMS transports the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he is pronounced dead. The victim has trauma to his head and face. The incident is investigated as a homicide.
