The offices of the French Chevy Jean Company are located on Chowringhee Road, where the Frank Ross Company's drug store now stands. They hail the first taxi on the way to Kolkata. The meter gauge cars run from Chowrangi to Dum Dum, and from Barrackpur to Bude Budge. The small two-cylinder 'Caron' cars have room for only two passengers.
