Nepal Police Bust Thousands Of Euro And USD Banknotes Being Smuggled To China
Officials from the Nepal Police present the confiscated Euro and US Dollar banknotes before the media in Kathmandu, Nepal, on March 18, 2025. Nepal Police's Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office confiscates the USD and Euros intended to be smuggled to China from the Nepal-China border crossing of Kerung on the outskirts of Kathmandu on March 17, 2025. The bundles contain 3,119 banknotes in US dollar denominations of one hundred, 179 banknotes in US dollar denominations of fifty, 11 banknotes in Euro denominations of five hundred, 480 banknotes in Euro denominations of two hundred, 4,148 banknotes in Euro denominations of one hundred, and 17,177 banknotes in Euro denominations of fifty.
