Claudia Sheinbaum, President Of Mexico, Announces Start Of Construction On The Mexico-Pachuca Train

On March 22, 2025, in Jaguey de Tellez, a municipality in Zempoala, in the state of Hidalgo, Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico, announces the start of construction on the Mexico-Pachuca Train. She is accompanied by Hidalgo Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar. A general explanation of the train project is given. An interdisciplinary team forms between several authorities, and it is explained that the maximum speed of the train will be 120 kilometers per hour, the length will be 57 kilometers of double electrified track, the travel time from AIFA to Pachuca will be 38 minutes, the time from Mexico City to Pachuca will be one hour and 15 minutes, and there will be 8 stations: in Xaltocan, in Xolox, in Tizayuca-Temascalapa, Empalme del Rey, Platah, Jaguey Tellez, and Pachuca.
