Protestors Burn Effigy Of Nepal Minister Against Deposition Of Electricity Authority Chief
Nepali protestors burn the effigy of Deepak Khadka, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, against the decision to depose the chief of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, in Kathmandu, Nepal, on March 25, 2025. The All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU- Unified Socialist) burns the effigy of Deepak Khadka, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, protesting the deposition of Nepal Electricity Authority Chief Kulman Ghising. A meeting of the Council of Ministers on March 24, 2025, sacks incumbent Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, from the post. Ghising, who is regarded as the person to put an end to power cuts in the Himalayan nation, is deposed from the post citing his poor performance.
