Pucheroki Parade In Krakow
Participants of the Pucheroki parade gather on the main square in Krakow, Poland, on March 30, 2025. Pucheroki is a medieval custom dating back to the 16th century. It originates from the collections of Krakow students, who recite humorous verse orations on Palm Sunday. Traditionally, boys dress in sheepskins and conical hats with colorful tissue paper and go from house to house holding a basket of chaff in one hand and a wooden hammer in the other. A group called the Living Carol Troupe walks through the streets of the city, playing and singing, heralding the arrival of spring. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
