17-year-old Boy Shot To The Chest And A 28-year-old Man Shot To The Head On Oceania Street And 48th Avenue In Bayside, Queens, New York

New York City Police Crime Scene Unit investigators recover a firearm at the scene, mark, and collect evidence following an incident where a 17-year-old boy sustains a gunshot wound to the chest and a 28-year-old man sustains a gunshot wound to the head in the area of Oceania Street and 48th Avenue in Bayside, Queens, New York, United States, on April 12, 2025. On Saturday evening at approximately 10:08 PM, in the vicinity of Oceania Street and 48th Avenue in Bayside, Queens, New York, police respond to a 911 call of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, police observe a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest and a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS responds and transports both individuals to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital where they are pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
