Rats Pest Eradication Program In Indonesia
Indonesian farmers, children, soldiers, and police officers hunt rats in a paddy field during an eradication program, locally known as Gropyokan Tikus, near the village of Sraten, Tuntang in Semarang District, Central Java Province, Indonesia, on April 20, 2025. Based on data from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Semarang Regency, until April 2025, the area of rat attacks in the Semarang Regency area reaches 352 hectares, 59 hectares of which fail to harvest, and locals launch a massive counter-attack, beating rats to death with batons and spreading out loads of poison.
