Indonesian Shadow Puppets

Shadow puppets are made of buffalo skin an Indonesian traditional art that developed in Java island. Shadow puppets played by a puppeteer accompanied by gamelan orchestra music and puppets figure narratives strories from Mahabarta dan Ramayana. Shadow puppets show has been recognized by UNESCO on November 7, 2003 as Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
