61-year-old Woman Fatally Shot To The Head And A 23-year-old Man Wounded After Being Shot To The Foot At West 113 Street And Lenox Avenue In Harlem, Manhattan, New York

NYPD crime scene unit investigators work the crime scene throughout the morning where a 61-year-old woman is fatally shot in the head and a 23-year-old man is wounded after being shot in the foot overnight at West 113 Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan, New York, United States, on April 23, 2025. On Tuesday evening at approximately 10:20 PM, police officers hear shots fired at the intersection of West 113 Street and Lenox Avenue, in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. Upon arrival, officers discover a 61-year-old woman, believed to be an innocent bystander, in front of 65 Lenox Avenue, with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responds and transports the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside where she is pronounced dead. Also, a 23-year-old man is discovered with a gunshot wound to the left foot. EMS responds and transports him to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition. A person of interest is taken into custody and the investigation continues.
