May Day Protest In Toulouse
On May 1, 2025, in Toulouse, France, thousands of people take to the streets for May Day or Labour Day. Trade unionists, citizens, yellow vests, anarchists, and members of political parties attend the demonstration. People are concerned about what French President Emmanuel Macron will do regarding defense and social issues, as he, like other Western leaders, wants to push for defense spending. The French government states that French people will be asked to make efforts on the French social model to pay for defense. Antiracism, antifascism, and the Gaza war are also themes of the march.
