70-year-old Woman Fatally Stabbed Multiple Times Inside Of A Residence On Cianci Street And Market Street

A 70-year-old woman is fatally stabbed multiple times inside a residence on Cianci Street in Paterson, New Jersey, United States, on May 6, 2025. Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray state that on May 6, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department are dispatched to a residence in the area of Cianci Street and Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on a report of a stabbing. When officers arrive on the scene, they find a 70-year-old woman from Paterson inside the residence with multiple stab wounds. She is pronounced deceased on the scene. Crime scene unit investigators bring out evidence bags with evidence collected from the scene, and the medical examiner takes possession of the woman's body. The investigation is active and ongoing.
