The NYPD executes a search warrant and collects evidence at the home of a 25-year-old man on Wednesday evening, one day after he is shot and killed by the NYPD after lunging at police officers with a knife at 108 Christopher Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, United States, on May 14, 2025. On Tuesday afternoon, police fatally shoot a 25-year-old man in Brooklyn's Brownsville neighborhood following a domestic abuse call. Officers respond after a woman reports that her ex-partner is threatening her. The woman meets police in the building's lobby and leads them to the apartment. There, the man, armed with a knife, allegedly lunges at the officers. After an unsuccessful attempt to use a Taser, police shoot him in the chest. The suspect is sent to Brookdale University Hospital, where he is pronounced dead.
