Protest In Novi Sad
Citizens block the intersection of Futoska Street and Bulevar Oslobodjenja in Novi Sad, Serbia, on June 1, 2025, as a form of protest. On November 1, 2024, exactly seven months earlier, the entrance canopy of the Novi Sad railway station collapses, resulting in the deaths of 16 people. The protest, symbolically named ''Serbia's Uprising,'' is initiated by students and takes place simultaneously at more than 30 locations across the country. Its central message is a call for early parliamentary elections. (Photo by Maxim Konankov/NurPhoto)
