Tensions At The End Of The Pro-Palestinian Demonstration In Paris

Tensions exist between the police and climbers who hang Palestinian flags on the Statue of Liberty of the Monument de la Republique, leading to their arrest. This occurs after a pro-Palestinian demonstration called by several French unions at the Place de la Republique in Paris, France, on June 14, 2025. The French Democratic Confederation of Labour trade union (CFDT), the French trade union General Confederation of Labour (CGT), the French National Union of Autonomous Trade Unions (Unsa), the French group of trade unions Union syndicale Solidaires (SUD), and the French trade union ''Federation Syndicale Unitaire'' (FSU) call for people to join ''the mobilisation for Palestine'' on June 14, 2025, and denounce ''the Israeli authorities' mortifying headlong rush and the atrocities'' in Gaza, according to a joint statement.
