Eagles In Nepal

Eagles feed their eaglet in a nest made from plastics and waste on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal, on June 19, 2025. Nepal is home to several species of eagles, including the Indian spotted eagle, steppe eagle, changeable hawk-eagle, and grey-headed fish eagle. The Indian spotted eagle is a vulnerable species, while the steppe eagle is a common winter visitor. Some eagles, like the black kite, are even found in urban areas.
