17-year-old Boy Identified As Darrell Harris Fatally Shot Multiple Times Inside Of Starlight Park
A 17-year-old boy identified as Darrell Harris is fatally shot multiple times inside Starlight Park in Soundview, Bronx, New York, United States, on June 24, 2025. On Tuesday evening at approximately 8:15 PM, police respond to Starlight Park in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx within the confines of the 43 Precinct. Upon arrival, police officers observe Darrell Harris with a gunshot wound to the head and the right arm. EMS responds and transports the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation is active and ongoing. NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators collect several pieces of evidence, including shell casings, weapons that consist of two knives, and other items from the scene inside Starlight Park.
