36-year-old Woman Fatally Shot To The Head At Carlton Avenue And Pacific Avenue

A 36-year-old woman is fatally shot in the head at Carlton Avenue and Pacific Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, New York, United States, on June 25, 2025. On Wednesday evening, at approximately 10:22 PM, police respond to a 911 call about a female shot at the intersection of Carlton Avenue and Pacific Avenue, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, New York, within the confines of the 78th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observe a 36-year-old woman lying unconscious and unresponsive on the ground, with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responds to the location and pronounces the woman dead at the scene. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is withheld pending proper family notification. The NYPD crime scene unit responds to collect evidence, and the office of the chief medical examiner responds to collect the body.
