Due to ongoing heatwaves and droughts, the rice paddies dry out and crack in Sangju, South Korea, on July 7, 2025. The state weather agency issues the season's first heat wave warning for all parts of South Korea. The warning is issued as of 10 a.m., according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.
