77-year-old Woman Killed In An Apartment Building On The 7th Floor At 2064 Barnes Avenue

A 77-year-old woman is killed in an apartment building on the 7th floor at 2064 Barnes Avenue in Pelham Parkway, Bronx, New York, United States, on July 7, 2025. On Monday morning at approximately 7:28 AM, police respond to 2064 Barnes Avenue within the confines of the 49 Precinct in Bronx, New York, and officers discover an unconscious and unresponsive 77-year-old woman with trauma to her head. EMS responds and transports the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where she is pronounced dead. The identification of the deceased is withheld pending proper family notification. NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators process the scene inside the apartment on the 7th floor and remove several pieces of evidence from the apartment.
