Former employee of Thomas Jefferson Middle School, John C. Stewart, is arrested for lewd acts in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, United States, on July 9, 2025. John C. Stewart is accused of entering the middle school at different hours of the day and masturbating in different areas of the school building. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Fair Lawn Police Department reveals that on two dates in July 2025, John C. Stewart, a former employee of the school district, enters the middle school at different hours of the day and masturbates in different areas of the school building. Detectives determine that on one occasion, children are present in the building for a summer activity. At this time, there is no evidence that Stewart directly approaches any child present.
