Iran-Afghanistan-Refugees
An Afghan worker who is authorized and works for an Iranian employer builds new graves in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in the south of Tehran, Iran, on July 11, 2025. In an interview with the Iranian state news agency IRNA, the head of the Center for Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs at the Ministry of Interior clarifies the working conditions for nationals returning to the country and obtaining legal permits. Nationals who enter through this legal process can work with a one-year permit after reaching an agreement with an employer and receiving a work card. This permit can be renewed annually, provided the employer is satisfied. These individuals receive insurance and other legal benefits similar to those of Iranian workers.
