Construction Crews Dismantle The Foster Avenue Bridge Over The Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90/94) In The Jefferson Park Neighborhood On July 21, 2025, In Chicago, Illinois, United States. The $25.2 Million Illinois Department Of Transportation Project Began In November 2024 And Is Scheduled For Completion In Summer 2026. The Work Includes Replacing The 66-year-old Bridge, Installing LED Lighting, Modernizing Traffic Signals, Improving Drainage, And Constructing ADA-compliant Sidewalk Ramps. Heavy Machinery From CAT And Thatcher Is Used To Remove Deteriorating Concrete From The Existing Superstructure.
