On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:51 PM, police officers respond to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside and find an unidentified woman unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to her body. EMS responds and transports the victim to BronxCare Health System, where she is pronounced dead. A person of interest is taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
