NYPD officers work the crime scene during daylight hours where a 23-year-old man is fatally shot at the Throggs Neck Houses at 2765 Sampson Avenue within the confines of the 45th precinct and police service area 8 in Throggs Neck, Bronx, New York, United States, on August 2, 2025. On Saturday morning at approximately 1:47 AM, police respond and find a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS responds and transports the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
