Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Departs For China Visit

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli departs for China at the VVIP Terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, on August 30, 2025. Oli embarks on a five-day visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025. During the visit to Tianjin, the Nepali Prime Minister holds a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines. Oli also attends the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces. This is Oli's second visit to China since becoming prime minister for the fourth time in July last year. Earlier, Oli goes on an official visit to China from December 2 to 5, 2024.
