Official Meeting Of The Gdansk Regional Board Of The NSZZ 'Solidarnosc' Trade Union

On August 31, 1980, the August Agreements are signed between the democratic opposition and the communist government. That month, around 700,000 people take part in strikes, and the newly founded trade union Solidarity attracts 9-10 million members.
