Flood Crisis Deepens In Himalayan Valley

A group of Kashmiri women looks on as rising waters swallow their home on the outskirts of Srinagar, India, on Thursday, part of a flood that engulfs dozens of villages across the Himalayan Valley. Thousands are displaced, with many fearful of worsening conditions. Agricultural land now lies submerged, houses are damaged, and families flee to higher ground. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a red alert, warning of heightened risks of landslides, flash floods, and further road blockages.
