On Monday afternoon, a 2-year-old boy sustains a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the facial area and is transported to Comer Children's Hospital where he is pronounced dead. A male identified as the father, who is the owner of the gun and classified as a person of interest, is put in handcuffs at the scene. Detectives investigate the scene.
