Women Summit at White House

Washington, DC – On Tuesday, June 14, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, l-r, Valerie B. Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President and Chair of the White House Council on Women and Girls, and Tina Tchen, Chief of Staff to the First Lady and Executive Director of the White House Council on Women and Girls, give the welcoming remarks at The White House Summit on The United State of Women. With 5,000 attendees, the summit featured a variety of speakers and special guests discussing gender equality issues, economic empowerment, health and wellness, education, violence, entrepreneurship and innovation, leadership, and civic participation.
