16-year-old Girl Identified As Jhoanny Alvarez Gomez Fatally Struck By A 2009 Chevy Suburban In The Area Of Roosevelt Avenue And Benham Street Within Confines Of 110 Precinct In Homicide Investigation
NYPD crime scene unit investigators recover evidence where a 16-year-old girl identified as Jhoanny Alvarez Gomez is fatally struck by a 2009 Chevy Suburban in the area of Roosevelt Avenue and Benham Street in Queens, New York, United States, on September 13, 2025. On Saturday morning, police respond to a 911 call within the confines of the 115 Precinct and are informed that a 38-year-old male, operating a gray 2009 Chevy Suburban, strikes a 16-year-old female and a 32-year-old female with his vehicle. The 16-year-old female is pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. EMS transports the 32-year-old female to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition. Upon further investigation, it is determined that the incident occurs at Roosevelt Avenue and Benham Street.
