Andrea Bajani, born in Rome, Italy, on August 16, 1975, is an Italian author, journalist, and translator whose career spans novels, short stories, poetry, reportage, and theater. He wins major literary awards including the Premio Bagutta in 2011 for ''Ogni promessa,'' the Premio Super Mondello, the Premio Recanati, and the Premio Brancati with ''Se consideri le colpe.'' More recently, he receives the Premio Strega Giovani 2025 and the prestigious Premio Strega 2025 for his novel ''L'anniversario,'' originally in Italian and now published in Catalan as ''L'aniversari,'' in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, on September 10, 2025.
