Demonstration Of The 18th September Strike In Paris, France
In Paris, France, on September 18, 2025, the Ministry of the Interior states that around 500,000 demonstrators take part in more than 250 protests across France. The CGT (General Confederation of Labour) claims that more than 1 million people take to the streets to fight against the austerity measures imposed by former French minister Francois Bayrou. In Paris, several clashes occur between police and protesters, resulting in a number of arrests. The pressure is now on the new Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, who promises to meet with the unions again in the coming days. (Photo by Telmo Pinto/NurPhoto)
